The sun, represented here by a solar wheel larger than the moon, still reigns over the night. Paradoxically, it is from Litha, the summer solstice, that the days will begin to shorten and the darkness will slowly gain ground until the winter solstice. Symbolically, it is King Holly's victory over King Oak, the victory of darkness over light, so I dressed her fire/water hair with oak and holly leaves.
